Marine City Medical College (MCMC) is one of the non-government medical colleges of Bangladesh and, it is situated in the port city, Chittagong. In 2013 it was established by a group of dedicated people who were involved with ideals at providing quality medical education, research, and services to people of this country at a reasonable cost. On the other hand, our aim is to attain a standard level in health & medical education both nationally & abroad. Therefore, the teaching faculty of MCMC is experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated & working hard to attain this standard.
Most importantly, the college & hospital is affiliated with Chittagong Medical University. Also, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh approved this college.
Marine City has excellent, experienced, and dedicated faculty members who are all trained in advanced level teaching technologies. Firstly, the College has state of art, tertiary care, multispecialty teaching hospital with all the modern diagnostic and therapeutic facilities. Secondly, the College has spacious, well-equipped laboratories, lecture halls with modern audio-visual aids, multimedia projectors, etc. Thirdly, it provides excellent library facilities with reference books, national and international journals, CDs, DVDs, etc to help the students with a balanced learning environment.
The Admission Process of Marine City Medical College
Eligibility For Foreign Students:
The admission process of Marine City Medical College for foreign students to admit to the MBBS course are:
- Firstly, must be passed the SSC/SLC/O-level/GCSE or equivalent examination with a minimum of 5 subjects and an average mark minimum GPA-3.00. Also, pass in HSC/A-level/12- grade or equivalent examination with Biology.
- Secondly, Chemistry & Physics average mark minimum GPA 3.00 but Minimum aggregate GPA in SSC/SL-level/GCSE and HSC/A- 12 grade or equivalent examination: 7.00 (seven) and Biology must be pass with GPA 3.50
- To clarify, the government of Bangladesh sets the rules and procedures for the admission of foreign students to all public and private medical colleges within its territory. So, these are the following steps that you need to take if you want to get admitted into Private & Government Medical Colleges.
Required Documents:
1. Firstly, if you have the passport of a country having a diplomatic relationship with Bangladesh you can apply for admission in the MBBS course in one of the public or private Medical Colleges in Bangladesh.
2. Secondly, you must have 12 years of schooling, and your grades must have been matched (Equivalency) with the Bangladeshi counterpart- SSC (Secondary School Certificate) & HSC (Higher Secondary School Certificate).
3. Finally, your eligibility criteria for admission to the MBBS course:
a. O-level (Equivalent to SSC) certificate: Minimum 5 subjects
b. A-level (Equivalent to HSC) Certificate: Must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
c. USA 12 grade completion certificate: Must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
d. Minimum GPA (After equivalency with SSC & HSC)= 7 (seven)
e. Minimum GPA in Biology= 3.5
However, there are more following steps that you need to take to study in Bangladesh
Get the photocopies of the following documents attested from the foreign ministry of your country.
i. Mark/grade sheet
ii. School leaving certificate (Testimonial)
iii. Copy of Passport
iv. Two passport size photographs of the applicant
On the other hand, download the‘ MBBS admission form’ from the website of the Bangladesh Foreign Ministry(www. mofa.gov.bd) and fill it up. You must mention your medical college of choice.
Then, pay $60 (Subject to change) in any bank in your country in favor of DGHS and get the receipt. (For more info. visit www.dghs.gov.org)
Finally, deposit your attested documents, bank receipt, and filled admission form to the Bangladesh Embassy of your country for processing of Grade Equivalency and permission from the Government of Bangladesh. You can do this job by yourself or by an Authorized Official Representative.
Moreover, the written admission test is of one hour’s duration with MCQs on Biology (30%), Chemistry (25%), Physics (20%), English (15%), and General knowledge (10%). DGHS published the result of the examination on a merit basis.
Admission to the Course:
Selected candidates shall have to report to the college administration for admission as per the specified date and time. But, if those selected candidates fail to get admission within the stipulated date and time. As a result, waiting-listed students will fill those seats.

Army Medical College Bogura
Army Medical College Bogura is a private Medical College under the control of Bangladesh Army and is run by a Governing Body, duly formed by the representative of Bangladesh Army, representative from Ministry of Health and Family affairs, representative from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and local members in health sector of Bangladesh government.
Army Medical College Bogura (AMCB) is a Military medical college, established in 2014. It is located in Bogura Cantonment, Bangladesh. It is affiliated with Bangladesh University of Professionals. Academic activities began on 10 January 2015 with 50 students along with 4 Army Medical Colleges (Chittagong, Rangpur, Cumilla & Jessore). In 2018 it has 200 MBBS students (4th Batch running).
It offers a five-year course of study leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. A one-year internship after graduation is compulsory for all graduates. The degree is recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council.
Army Medical College Jashore
Army Medical College Jashore is a private medical college acknowledged by Army Welfare Trust (AWT) of Bangladesh Army. AMCJ was established On 10th Jan 2015 with the acceptance of Ministry of Health & Family Affairs and is functioning directly under the supervision of Army Welfare Trust (AWT of Bangladesh Army & Area HQ, Jashore. This college is affiliated with BUP and BMDC. BMDC curriculum is followed and examination is executed as per the policies and procedure of BUP.
Army Medical College Jessore has a separate hostels for boys and girls. There are sufficient hostel rooms for all the students who are pursuing graduation in this renowned institute . Currently, the hostel can provide lodging And flooding to all the students. There is also a separate hall for the dining area. There are common rooms with TV. The environment is safe and secure for the students. In the event of medical needs, all the students are provided the same at the facility. There are arrangements of outdoor and indoor games for all-round personality and temperament development of the medical students.
